Watisoni Votu 'close' to Exeter Chiefs deal

Exeter Chiefs are reportedly close to completing a deal for Fijian international winger Watisoni Votu.

The 27-year-old's move has thus far been held up by visa restrictions, but head coach Rob Baxter is confident that a deal will soon be completed.

"Having taken him to the UK Border Agency on Monday, all the necessary paperwork will be finalised shortly," he told BBC Sport.

"It's now all systems go and we hope to hear back from the agency in the next week to 10 days."

Votu has made seven appearances for his country.
