Exeter Chiefs prop Craig Mitchell targets a return to action as he nears full fitness.

Exeter Chiefs prop Craig Mitchell has admitted that he will 'try to fight his way back into the side' as he nears a return from an arm injury.

The Welshman picked up the injury in Exeter's win over London Welsh in September and it had initially been thought that he would not return until January.

However, on learning that he is just two weeks away from fitness, he told BBC Sport: "My focus is on getting fit with Exeter and then we'll see what happens with Wales.

"I'm back in full training so two weeks and I'll be up to speed and I'll try and fight my way back into the side. What Wales have achieved in the past year is massive and I want to be a part of it."

Mitchell has 11 caps for his country.
