Tim Visser reveals broken leg

Scotland and Edinburgh Rugby winger Tim Visser will miss the next four months with a broken leg.

Winger Tim Visser has confirmed that he has broken his leg, as well as suffered ligament damage.

The 26-year-old sustained the injury during Edinburgh Rugby's victory against Treviso last Friday.

"So the bad news is that I broke my Fibula and damaged some ligaments. Operation soon and hopefully be back in three to four months," he wrote on Twitter.

"Thanks for all the well wishes and messages. Really appreciate it."

Consequently, Visser will now be absent from Scotland's three Test matches against Japan, South Africa and Australia next month.
