Edinburgh appoint new head coach Alan Solomons

Edinburgh have announced the appointment of Alan Solomons as the club's new head coach.

The former South Africa assistant coach will begin his new role at Murrayfield on August 9 following a successful stint with the Barbarians.

Managing director David Davies told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to confirm the appointment of such experienced, respected and passionate coaches."

Solomons will be joined by Stevie Scott, who will switch his interim head coach role to full-time assistant.
