Cardiff Blues sign Leicester Tigers back Blaine Scully

Cardiff Blues sign Leicester Tigers back Blaine Scully for the 2015-16 season.

Cardiff Blues have confirmed the signing of Leicester Tigers back Blaine Scully for next season.

The 27-year-old USA international joined the Tigers in 2013 following a successful trial at Welford Road.

Scully, who can play as a winger or full-back, has been capped 21 times by his country.

"I am beyond excited for the opportunity to join Cardiff Blues and the new challenge," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"I would like to thank the entire Leicester Tigers organisation: players, coaches, staff and fans. I have had a wonderful two seasons there and will always have a special fondness for Welford Road.

"I will leave the club a better player, man and with mutual good will. I have made many lasting friendships and wish them all the best in the future."

Leicester are back in action on Saturday when they host Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership.
