Clermont put off Halfpenny move?

Clermont Auvergne have reportedly put a move for Leigh Halfpenny on hold following a disagreement over money.

The 24-year-old Cardiff Blues full-back is expected to join the French side when his contract expires at the end of the season.

However, Clermont are understood to be unhappy with Halfpenny's excessive wages demands, according to Wales Online.

Halfpenny, who has also been linked with Heineken Cup champions Toulon, signed his first professional deal with Cardiff in 2008.
