Commonwealth Games star takes part in charity pantomime

Former rhythmic gymnast Frankie Jones visited children's hospice Ty Hafan this week to join in with its annual Christmas pantomime.

The 24-year-old, who claimed six gold medals for Wales at this year's Commonwealth Games before retiring from the sport, took part in a Disney-themed stage show as part of the hospice's Precious Moments campaign.

Jones has now called on the public to help contribute towards creating more special moments for children during the festive season.

"The work that Ty Hafan does is so important that I was more than delighted to have been able to help out here today, and had a great time meeting the children and their families too," she said.

"Ty Hafan does the most remarkable job to ensure these families are able to celebrate Christmas with the care and the support that they need, and I'd urge anyone thinking about supporting a charity this Christmas to bear them in mind."
