Kristi Yamaguchi pleased with Sochi facilities

Former Olympic champion Kristi Yamaguchi has said that she is pleased with her stay in Sochi so far.

The 42-year-old American is serving as a special correspondent for NBC for the Winter Olympics in the Russian city

"Great accommodation where I am," she told Russia Today.

"I had a chance to walk around the Olympic Park – the venues are absolutely beautiful. I am excited."

Yamaguchi won the ladies' singles figure skating event at the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville, France.
