Jonny Wilkinson 'marries girlfriend Shelley Jenkins in private wedding'

Former England rugby international Jonny Wilkinson has reportedly married his long-term girlfriend Shelley Jenkins in a private ceremony in the south of France.

Wilkinson's new wife, who moved to France with the rugby star when he joined Toulon in May 2008, first met the sportsman in 2005.

The pair exchanged vows at a ceremony, which included two witnesses, one being Wilkinson's mother Philippa, according to the Daily Mail.

The wedding is said to have been held at the town hall in Bandol on Monday.
