Smokers use cigarette butts to pick best player

Smokers in London have been given the chance to vote for the best player in the world by placing their cigarette butts in a specially-designed bin.

The bin, which is outside the Embankment tube station, is split into two chambers, urging smokers to pick between current Ballon d'Or Cristiano Ronaldo or Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

The Real Madrid forward was the preferred choice:

The Neat Streets campaign has posed a series a sports-related questions to passers-by in the area in recent weeks, including who will win last month's London derby between Arsenal and Crystal Palace, and whether smokers prefer to watch the US Open or the Italian Grand Prix.
