Gareth Bale's girlfriend 'won't be affected by fame'

Friends and family of Gareth Bale's girlfriend Emma Rhys Jones have reportedly claimed that she will not embrace the WAG lifestyle following her partner's move to Real Madrid.

The Welshman took his family, including long-term girlfriend Emma and baby daughter Alba, to his unveiling at the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday following his £85m move from Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Emma's neighbour Theresa Thomas told the Daily Mail: "Celebrity won't change Emma, no way. She and Gareth are just normal people that something extraordinary has happened to.

"I don't think fame will affect them at all. They are a lovely, normal couple with fantastic supportive families. It just wouldn't be in their nature."

The couple are said to have begun dating 10 years ago when they attended the same school in Wales.
