Football fan 'arrested for hit-and-run on Port Vale fans'

A football fan is reportedly arrested on suspicion of murder following an attempted hit-and-run on a group of Port Vale fans.

A football fan has reportedly been arrested by police for attempting a hit-and-run on a group of Port Vale supporters.

A 27-year-old man is reported to have been detained by the authorities on suspicion of attempted murder after a car sped towards Port Vale supporters at a mini roundabout outside the Rochdale Railway Station on Saturday afternoon.

Police are considering the scenario that the fan purposefully targeted the supporters following a row in a nearby pub, according to the Daily Mail.

A 36-year-old man is alleged to have suffered a serious head injury, while a 52-year-old man sustained injuries to his arm and hip.
