Weightlifter bailed on sex attack charge

A weightlifter competing at the Commonwealth Games has been bailed after appearing in court accused of a sex attack.

Papua New Guinea competitor Toua Philip Udia is alleged to have touched a man in the toilets at a Tesco store near the athletes' village earlier this month.

The 22-year-old entered a plea of not guilty following an appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court, and had to surrender his passport in order to be granted bail.

Udia competed in the men's 77kg weightlifting event yesterday.
