Serena Williams poses on Miami beach for fashion photoshoot

World number one tennis player Serena Williams took a break from her sporting schedule to pose for a fashion shoot in Florida.

The 31-year-old was spotted in an array of bathing suits and dresses while on a beach in Miami following last week's win over Serbia's Jelena Jankovic in the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina.

Despite being captured enjoying herself on the sand, Williams later revealed that she encountered problems with her voice. She tweeted: "Lost my voice. #williamsinvitational2013 I literally cannot speak. Maybe I will be tweeting more..."

Williams became the oldest woman to be named at the top of the rankings since records began in 1975.
