Shane Warne "friends" with ex-fiancee Elizabeth Hurley

Former Australia cricket captain Shane Warne has insisted that he is just "friends" with his ex-fiancee Elizabeth Hurley, despite reports that a reconciliation could be on the cards.

The 44-year-old was spotted with the English actress over Valentine's weekend, but the sportsman has insisted that the couple's split from last year still stands.

Warne has also once again refuted reports that he had a four-hour tryst with businesswoman Michelle Mone at the Dorchester Hotel.

"Elizabeth and I are still friends and we catch up when we can," Warne told Sunrise. "It's a shame it's all over and done, but that's the way it goes unfortunately."

The couple announced their engagement back in 2011.
