Actor Mark Wahlberg meets David Beckham to clarify controversial comments

American actor Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he met up with David Beckham to clear the air following comments that he wanted the retired footballer to move out of his Los Angeles neighbourhood.

Wahlberg had claimed that he wanted the Beckhams, who played for Los Angeles Galaxy at the time, to move away from the area due to the increase of paparazzi following the ex-midfielder's arrival from the UK.

However, the 42-year-old has insisted that he has cleared up any confusion with Beckham, telling The Sun: "I met him and some of his sons and he seems like a nice guy. I wanted to make sure he hadn't taken that [remark] personally."

Beckham is currently living back in the UK following his retirement from football.
