Saint Kitts and Nevis sprinter Kim Collins's brother has reportedly been shot dead by police.

Forty-year-old Callustus is believed to have been shot down after police were called to a residence, where his wife had been stabbed.

It is believed that following the news, Collins will bow out of a race meeting in Glasgow this Saturday, when he was due to go up against Great Britain's Dwain Chambers in the 60m, according to The Sun.

Collins's brother is thought to have been handed a restraining order from his wife, who is recovering in hospital, in November.
