Serena Williams meets Kim Kardashian in NYC on day off from US Open

World number one tennis player Serena Williams took a break from her US Open campaign to meet up with reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

The 33-year-old, who is on course to complete a career Grand Slam, had a day off on Monday as the remaining fourth-round matches were played at Flushing Meadows.

At one point in the day, Williams, who is rumoured to be dating Canadian rapper Drake, met Kardashian for tea at Carbone restaurant in Manhattan.

Kardashian, who is married to Kanye West, posted an image of the pair to Instagram, with the caption: "Sipping & spilling the tea tonight with Serena."

Williams will take on her sister Venus for the 27th time in her career later today as the siblings fight for a place in the semi-finals of the US Open.
