Cristiano Ronaldo denies 'affair' claims

Cristiano Ronaldo has denied allegations that he is cheating on his supermodel girlfriend Irina Shayk.

The Real Madrid striker, 27, was forced to comment on pictures of him and a Portuguese TV presenter that were published in local press last week.

Ronaldo, who rarely comments on his private life, wrote on Facebook and Twitter: "Here we are again... today false news were published about my vacation based on a picture that was taken some years ago in the US.

"Unfortunately some press don't investigate their sources and go ahead publishing lies joining people that are not in the photo and confusing dates."

Meanwhile, Shayk caused a stir at last night's Champions League draw when she arrived with Ronaldo wearing an outfit that appeared to be braless.
