Report: England footballer arrested on suspicion of sex with underage girl

An unnamed footballer that has represented England has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

It has been claimed that three plain-clothes police officers and a forensic team arrived at the player's home at 9am this morning.

According to The Sun, a source said: "He has been arrested over claims he has had a relationship with a girl aged 14."

Also, a neighbour of the player, who is said to be a regular in the Premier League, told the same publication: "You could tell they were police officers, they were all dressed in black. I haven't seen the player all day. I just assumed there had been a burglary."

The report added that a loaded firearm was found at the mansion, although that is understood to be legal.
