Report: BT Sport want Gary Lineker to anchor Champions League coverage

BT Sport are reportedly keen to sign up Gary Lineker to present its coverage of the Champions League from next season.

The broadcaster secured the rights to televise the elite tournament, as well as the Europa League, on a three-year deal starting from the 2015-16 campaign.

With that in mind, BT Sport has opened talks regarding a deal with Lineker that would allow the pundit to continue his role as the BBC's Match of the Day host, according to The Guardian.

Lineker's contract with the BBC runs until 2016.
