Michael Jordan fails to sell mansion

Basketball legend Michael Jordan has failed to sell his 56,000-square foot mansion at auction.

The Legend Point estate, which is situated near Chicago, had a reserve price of around £7.9m, but failed to find a successful bidder in the auction on Monday.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Jordan's spokeswoman Estee Portnoy said: "We are disappointed that the high bid in today's auction of Michael Jordan's residence in Highland Park did not meet the reserve price. Concierge Auctions gave great exposure to the property and opportunity, but the market conditions were just not right to drive a fair value."

The property was originally put up for sale for around £17m in March
