Diego Maradona goes up against Juan Martin del Potro on court

Argentina football legend Diego Maradona has attempted to show off his tennis skills by going up against Juan Martin del Potro.

The 52-year-old took to centre court at the Duty Free Tennis Championships in Dubai to have a rally with the world number seven.

While Maradona looked comfortable serving and executing a number of forehand shots, the former Argentina number 10 struggled to return Del Potro's serves at the Aviation Club.

Maradona was asked onto court following Del Potro's 6-3 6-3 second-round victory over Somdev Devvarman.
