Gary Lineker: 'I'm a big softie now, I'll cry at anything'

Lineker: "I'll cry at anything"

Former England footballer Gary Lineker has revealed that he has gone from being as "hard as nails" to crying over "anything".

The 52-year-old, who became the anchor for BBC football highlights and analysis show Match of the Day after his playing days, has claimed that he easily sobs while watching sad films.

"I used to be hard as nails, but I'm just a softie now," the Daily Star quotes Lineker as saying. "I'll cry at anything, any old film or sad thing."

Lineker, who retired from the game in 1994, is also the face of Walkers crisps.
