Infantino caught up in Panama Papers leak

New FIFA president Gianni Infantino is the latest high-profile sporting name to have been caught up in the Panama Papers leak.

Leaked documents show that Infantino signed off on a contract with two businessmen who have since been accused of bribery when he was a UEFA director in 2006, according to BBC Sport.

Hugo and Mariano Jinkis of Cross Trading bought TV rights for Champions League football to be shown in Ecuador and immediately sold them on for almost three times the price.

UEFA has insisted to the BBC that the rights were sold following an "open, competitive, tender process".

Formula 1 world championship leader Nico Rosberg is also among the names implicated in the leak of 11 million documents from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca.
