Carl Froch: 'I haven't spoken to my father for two years'

British boxer Carl Froch reveals that he has not spoken to his father for two years.

WBA and IBF world super-middleweight boxing champion Carl Froch has revealed that his relationship with his father Frank has completely broken down.

The 36-year-old, who is father to three-year-old son Rocco and six-month-old daughter Natalia, has admitted that he wants to resolve his issues with his dad.

"Dad's not a part of my life any more," the Daily Mail quotes Froch as saying. "We've not spoken for two years and it's a great shame.

"The saddest part is that he hasn't seen his grandson, Rocco, for two years, and he's never met Natalia, his grand-daughter.

"When I'm with the kids I just can't see how it could ever get to that situation with me and my children. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about the situation with my Dad a lot. It's a disaster and it needs to be sorted."

Froch is preparing for a British showdown against George Groves at the Manchester Arena on November 23.
