Footballers 'named rudest people in Britain'

A study has concluded that footballers are the rudest people in Britain.

Drinks brand Grand Marnier has revealed that the sportsmen have topped the list due to cases of spitting and insulting linesmen during matches.

Specific cases, including Luis Suarez's bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's touchline rants were mentioned, according to the Daily Star.

Politicians, telesales staff and call centre workers came in second, third and fourth in the poll.
