Carl Fogarty joins Jimmy Bullard on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'

Fogarty joins Bullard in the jungle

Four-time superbike world champion Carl Fogarty has been confirmed as a contestant for the upcoming series of ITV show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The 49-year-old is the second sportsman to be part of this year's show following the announcement that ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard would be entering the jungle.

"Motorbike racing is scary for a lot of people but for me it is easy," said Fogarty. "It is what I have been brought up with. Going in the jungle will be so much harder.

"I am not a people's person. I like my own company and I like my own space. I am actually quite shy and I know I will be quiet for a few days in the jungle before I come out of my shell. I also don't like getting bored or feeling hungry. All these are things I hate."

Fogarty retired from motosport back in 2000 after suffering an injury to his arm.
