Football fans offered chance to swap season ticket for videogame

GAME announces an offer that allows football fans to swap in their season tickets this weekend for a copy of video games FIFA 14, Football Manager or PES.

Football fans have been given the chance by retailer GAME to swap their season tickets for a copy of popular videogames FIFA 14, Football Manager or Pro Evolution Soccer this weekend.

After research showed that seven out of 10 fans feel disgruntled by their team's season and almost half turn to football videogames for 'post-match therapy', GAME decided to create the offer.

At 5pm on Saturday, 'The Season Ticket Trade-In' comes into action at stores located in Manchester, London, Cardiff, West Bromwich, Sunderland and Edinburgh.

GAME spokesperson Stephen Lynn said: "The same night [Marouane] Fellaini can be sold to Coventry and Vincent Tan's controversial red Cardiff home kit reset to traditional blue. No wonder so many fans turn to football games for entertainment and escape on a Saturday night."

The deal requires valid season tickets for the 2013-14 Premier League or SPL.
