Jessica Ennis: 'Two girls used to pick on me as a child'

Ennis: 'I was bullied as a kid'

Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis has revealed that she used to get 'picked on' when she was growing up.

The 26-year-old, who became the face of the London 2012 Games after winning gold in the heptathlon in the summer, has claimed that she was bullied by two girls in her younger years.

"I was just different," Ennis told The Guardian. "I was such a scraggy little thing. And there were these two big girls who just used to pick on me."

Meanwhile, Ennis was given a British Ambassador of the Year award by Harper's Bazaar last week.
