Jessica Ennis snatches British Ambassador of the Year award

Olympic champion Jessica Ennis has picked up a British Ambassadors of the Year award in a ceremony in London.

The 26-year-old attended the Women of the Year celebrations held by Harper's Bazaar with her fiance Andy Hill.

Ennis, who won a gold medal in the heptathlon at London 2012 in the summer, shared the Ambassadorial award with fellow Olympian Victoria Pendleton, who is currently a contestant on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing.

Paralympic swimming champion Ellie Simmonds also picked up the same award at the event earlier this week.
