Novak Djokovic marries childhood sweetheart days after Wimbledon victory

Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic has married his childhood sweetheart Jelena Ristic at a ceremony in Montenegro.

The 27-year-old exchanged vows with his pregnant wife on Thursday afternoon - just four days after beating Roger Federer to win his second title at the All England Club.

"I was trying to be present in that moment and memorise it," Djokovic told Hello! magazine. "I was focused on her, and her smile and our baby. It really was a perfect moment."

The couple had initially planned to wed last month, but Djokovic's schedule got in the way of plans.
