Dalglish cooks for 70 guests

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish cooked for 70 guests during a cancer charity event fronted by his wife Marina.

The former Reds manager, who had his famous number seven emblazoned on the back of his shirt, cooked up lobster, beef fillet and scallops at TV chef Simon Rimmer's restaurant Earle in Cheshire.

Dalglish wrote on Twitter after the Monday night event: "A great night at Earles yesterday. Chefs were superb. Danny great wine. Thanks a lot. No illness so far."

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler and ex-Everton midfielder Peter Reid acted as waiters throughout the evening.
