Ched Evans's sister to appear on 'Big Brother'?

The sister of former Sheffield United striker Ched Evans is on the shortlist for this year's series of Big Brother, according to The Sun.

A source told the newspaper that Kylie Evans, 30, appeared at the Manchester auditions for the Channel 5 reality show, which is due to get underway in May.

"She definitely got past the final eight and hinted she's in the cut," said the source. "She mentioned her brother during the auditions and explained who he was. I think she's going in there to try and profess his innocence."

Former Wales international Evans is currently without a club after serving half of a five-year prison sentence for rape, a charge he continues to deny. A decision on whether he can appeal the ruling is expected imminently.
