BT Sport to remain free next season for BT Broadband customers

BT Sport announce that the channel will remain free for a second season for BT Broadband customers.

BT Sport have announced that their channel will remain free for BT Broadband users for a second season.

The channel, which was launched last summer, will continue to be included as part of the internet package for new and renewing customers.

BT consumer chief executive John Petter said: "Fans have been the winners with BT Sport. Millions of homes have enjoyed the very best sporting action for free. We said we would shake up the market and we have done just that.

"The great news for fans is that BT Sport will remain free with BT Broadband for another season, during which we will broadcast live action from the new European rugby tournaments. There has never been a better time to switch to BT Broadband so I would encourage sports fans to sign up."

The channel, which carries Premier League, FA Cup and football from the European leagues, is available on Sky and Virgin Media for a fee.

BT Sport also provides MotoGP, UFC, NBA basketball and tennis action.
