David Beckham inspects his new pie-and-mash restaurant

Retired footballer David Beckham was reportedly spotted inspecting the development of his new British-style restaurant.

The ex-England captain is believed to have entered the venture with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who is also a close friend of the Beckham family.

The 38-year-old told the workmen that he is satisfied with the work before his wife Victoria arrived to check out the pie-and-mash eaterie herself, according to the Sunday People.

The restaurant is expected to open this autumn.
