David Beckham attends wife's London store opening in her place

David Beckham turns up to the official opening of his wife Victoria's clothing store in London in her absence.

Retired footballer David Beckham showed support to his wife Victoria by attending her London store opening in her place.

The singer-turned-fashion designer was absent from the official opening yesterday as she attended the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

However, Beckham, who retired from professional football last year, did turn up to a crowd of fans at his wife's flagship store on Mayfair's Dover Street.

Victoria's parents Tony and Sandra Adams, as well as her sister Louise, were also in attendance.
