Ex-Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack mistaken for Matt Damon

Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has revealed that a fan mistook him for Hollywood actor Matt Damon.

The 36-year-old, who retired from football last October, has claimed that a girl once approached him thinking that he was the American actor and asked for an autograph.

"It is not a joke," The Sun quotes Ballack as saying. "A girl came up to me and thought I was him. She didn't think I was Michael Ballack. I walked off a bit confused."

The former Germany international spent two years at Bayer Leverkusen before hanging up his boots.
