50 Cent still friends with Mayweather

Hip hop superstar 50 Cent has said that he is still friends with Floyd Mayweather, despite closing in on signing a promotional deal with his rival, Manny Pacquiao.

Reports have surfaced claiming that the New York rapper will enter into a joint venture with Pac-Man imminently, but Fiddy has stated that his relationship with Mayweather has been unaffected by the developments.

"Floyd is a friend of mine," said 50, real name Curtis Jackson.

"I look at Floyd like my younger brother. I don't think [Floyd will get upset over the Pacquiao deal] I think he'll say 'I wish him luck'. It's not like I'm not in communication with him, I texted him and told him everything."

50 Cent was part of a star-studded entourage that accompanied Mayweather to the ring in his victory over Miguel Cotto in May.
