Jules Bianchi's girlfriend prays for F1 driver after he suffers head injury

Girlfriend prays for 'strong' Bianchi

Jules Bianchi's girlfriend Camille Marchetti has tweeted a tribute to the Formula 1 driver, who is in critical condition in hospital after suffering a severe head injury during Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

The 25-year-old Frenchman was taken to hospital after his Marussia collided with a recovery vehicle that was attending to Adrian Sutil's Sauber during a rain-affected race in Suzuka.

Bianchi's 24-year-old French girlfriend took to Twitter to write, "you are my champion! You are the strongest," with a heart emoticon and prayer hands.

It is believed that reports claiming that Bianchi is breathing unaided are false and that the sportsman still needs a respirator in the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaichi.
