Paul Scholes hit on head by football

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is hit on the back of the head by a ball while working as a pundit at St James' Park.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes was hit on the head by a football while covering the club's trip to Newcastle United in the Premier League.

The 40-year-old, who is now a pundit for BT Sport, was mid-sentence when a stray effort from one of the Newcastle players struck him on the back of the head during the warm-ups at St James' Park.

He took the incident in good humour, turning around and shouting "good shot" to the player responsible.

United went on to win the tie 1-0.
