Gary Neville likened to David Brent for acoustic guitar session

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville was mocked for a resemblance with The Office character David Brent after he whipped out an acoustic guitar.

During preparations for Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, the 40-year-old was photographed by colleague Ed Chamberlain strumming a few tunes on a guitar.

Chamberlain tweeted a picture of the retired footballer, along with the message: "@GNev2 warming up for MNF #DavidBrent."

Jamie Carragher, who was also part of the punditry team for last night's coverage of Swansea City's 1-0 win over Arsenal, waded in on the joke by tweeting: "Like Brent wearing black to hide the weight."
