Man Utd post record revenues

Premier League giants Manchester United have announced record third-quarter revenues which show that the club is on course to become the first British side to earn more than half a billion pounds in a single year.

The Red Devils have posted third-quarter revenues of £123.4m, up 29.9% on last year, and commercial revenues rose 37.7% to £65.8m.

The club has therefore forecast that it will earn between £500m and £510m of revenue in 2016, despite a disappointing season in the Premier League.

Louis van Gaal's side are on course to miss out on a Champions League place as they sit fifth, two points behind neighbours Manchester City, with only one game of the campaign remaining.
