Liverpool's Raheem Sterling 'fined £600 for car insurance offence'

Sterling 'fined £600 for motoring offence'

Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has reportedly been ordered to pay £600 after one of his cars failed to meet "insurance requirements".

The 20-year-old, who pleaded guilty to the single offence, was not present at Wirral Magistrates' Court when the punishment was delivered.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Sterling did not have continuous insurance on the vehicle, but failed to officially declare the car, thought to be an Audi A3, off-road.

There was no suggestion that Sterling drove the car without insurance.
