Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet reflects on his wedding day

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has reflected on his recent wedding day by describing it as a "nice" occasion with the people closest to him.

The 27-year-old married his long-term partner Jasmien Claes at a ceremony in the footballer's hometown of Sint-Truiden in Belgium last month.

Now, the shot-stopper has returned to football duties by flying out to Thailand with the Liverpool squad for their pre-season tour.

"[The wedding] was nice," Mignolet told LFCTour.com. "It was a good day together with family and friends. We enjoyed it and it's something to look back on with a positive feeling.

"We had the marriage and then afterwards a honeymoon, so I had a bit of time to relax but tried to stay fit as well."

The Reds will take on a Thailand All-Stars team this afternoon.
