Jones pays tribute to late son at wedding

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones made sure that the memory of his son Luca was honoured at his wedding to Dani Lawrence at the weekend.

The Australian shot-stopper lost his six-year-old son from a previous relationship in 2011 following a lengthy battle with leukaemia.

During his wedding to Lawrence, the couple lit candles in honour of Luca and the bride pinned a photo of the young boy to her bouquet of flowers.

"Luca and Dani were so close," Jones told Hello! magazine. "They loved each other and Luca was so full of fun, he would have been so excited about this day."

Jones's former Liverpool teammate Glen Johnson was among the invited guests, as was Fabrice Muamba and Stoke City midfielders Stephen Ireland and Charlie Adam.

Jones and his new wife are parents to three-year-old Nico and Romi, who is 17 months.
