Fiorentina's Anderson meets Pope Francis at the Vatican

Fiorentina's on-loan midfielder Anderson has met Pope Francis face to face before Saturday's Coppa Italia final against Napoli.

The Brazilian, who is on loan at the Serie A side from Manchester United, headed to the Vatican ahead of the clash.

The 26-year-old posted an image of the Catholic figurehead on Instagram, as well as a video from within the Sistine Chapel, which is not permitted.

Meanwhile, Anderson's long-term future remains unclear after he dropped down the rankings at Old Trafford.
