The showpiece event, taking place in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, was due to kick off at 8pm.

An incident is said to have taken place in the Tor di Quinto area of the city with four people being left injured, including two Napoli supporters, one plain clothes police officer and a passer-by, Football Italia has reported.

The same report suggests that gunshots could be heard, with one of the Partenopei fans hit in the arm and another in a serious condition after being struck in the chest.
