Punter scoops close to £46,000 on £5 accumulator thanks to Everton comeback win

One punter is £45,865 richer after correctly predicting a full set of football results on a £5 accumulator.

Over the weekend, the football fan bet that Sheffield United, Bury, Cardiff City, Reading, Liverpool and Everton would all win their respective matches.

The punter was one result away from taking home the huge sum and it looked as though they would miss out when Everton went 2-0 down to West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Monday.

In a dramatic comeback, Arouna Kone scored and Romelu Lukaku netted two goals, including the winner in the 84th minute, to give the Merseyside outfit a 3-2 victory.
