Thierry Henry, Rio Ferdinand confirmed as BBC World Cup pundits

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand will join the BBC's list of pundits for their World Cup coverage in Brazil this summer.

Henry, who currently plays for New York Red Bulls, is a World Cup winner with France, while Ferdinand is expected to give his views on England's campaign throughout the tournament.

The pair will join host Gary Lineker, who anchors the BBC's weekly Match of the Day highlights show, as well as current AC Milan head coach Clarence Seedorf.

Ex-USA international goalkeeper Brad Friedel, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis have joined the Radio 5 live punditry team.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon will also give his views, which will be spread across television and radio, as well as ex-players Alan Hansen, Alan Shearer, Chris Waddle, Martin Keown, Kevin Kilbane, Mark Lawrenson, Danny Mills, Danny Murphy, Phil Neville, Robbie Savage, Pat Nevin, John Hartson and Jason Roberts.
